My musical roots are uncommon for a singer-songwriter. Described as a Zen-Metal-Freak-Jazz Guru, I am a classically trained guitarist whose playing style owes as much to Barrios and Tarréga as Mustaine and Monk. I am an Alternative Folk Artist whose songs engage the listener to feel and think deeply, to find the reverence in everyday life, and to question the stories that define so much of the modern world.

I was born and raised in New Hampshire but my musical life has taken me all over the world, from the Finger Lakes to Mt. Etna to the Narmada River. And although I have chose the life of a Music Educator and have taught music to thousands of students in Hanover, NH over the past 27 years, I maintain an active performance calendar that showcases my original music for audiences looking for folk music in the spirit of Dylan, Cockburn, and Taylor.

A few years ago, I challenged myself to write, record, and release a new song every month. I called the project Extraneous Solutions and although that project defies genre to its own detriment, the song Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty was born from that project and has fans all over the world.

I married my high school sweetheart. While many artists write love songs that describe the passions of all that is new or recently lost, I find inspiration in the last 30 years of daily life with the most beautiful woman in the world and our two incredible daughters.
